Project Goal
Build a fully equipped mobile unit containing radio equipment, antennas, generators, and workstations for emergency response, education, and outreach.
Phase I: Acquire & Prep the Trailer
• Trailer Cost: $4,000
• Estimated Cost for Insulation & Electrical Conduit: $600
• Estimated Cost: $4,600
Phase II: Interior Build-Out
• Replace walls & ceiling
• Install shelving, fittings, and electrical
• Build a partition to separate the work area from storage
• Estimated Cost: $1,500
Phase III: Workstations & Finishing Touches
• Install A/C, desktops, flooring, and 12-volt lighting
• Add marine bulkhead fittings for coax
• Estimated Cost: $1,400
Phase IV: Equipment & Antennas
• Install radios, antennas, and generators
• Apply a vinyl wrap to highlight ARES emergency communication contributions
• Estimated Cost: $1,000+ (dependent on equipment donations)
